About
A small, weird, beautiful network.
Made in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
What Shabaka is
Shabaka — شبكة, Arabic for network — is a web-based party word game inspired by Codenames. Two teams compete to identify their secret words on a shared board using single-word clues from their spymasters. First team to find all of theirs wins. Pick the assassin, and you lose instantly.
Why we built it
We grew up arguing about word meanings around majlis tables and on long road trips. We wanted something that captured that energy — fast, social, a little chaotic — and worked just as well in English as in Arabic, on any device, with no app store in the way.
Who it's for
Friends. Families. Co-workers who actually like each other. Anyone who's ever insisted "that's totally what I meant by 'desert: three'" while their team groans.
Behind the brand
Shabaka's identity — cream paper, ink outlines, hand-drawn doodles, browser-window cards — is a love letter to the early web. Pull up a chair to a screen. That feeling.
